I work from my residence in The Hague to a maximum of 1 hour drive. For example, I will be in
Rotterdam, Delft, Leiden, Zoetermeer and other places in the area.
I encounter this on a regular basis. As long as your partner is not definitely against it but is open to a conversation, then we can meet without obligation. Often the objections are based on
assumptions or ignorance. I don’t come to convince your partner, but to provide a realistic
image of what you can expect from my work and presence. On that basis
you can make an informed choice.
From the active phase (at 4 to 5 cm dilation), I am present on site. I put the entire
birth story fixed. Think about the moments between you and your partner, the atmosphere and the details. The
childbirth is captured in a documentary manner, so you can be totally immersed in the
moment. I stay until 2 hours after the birth so possibly I can also do the first meeting between
big brother/sister or grandparents record.
